My Swing

Mommy got me a swing to hang from a tree in our yard and I love it! I have been swinging in it every day that it is warm enough. When Mommy pulls me up and then lets me go I get a huge grin on my face. I have a feeling that summer is going to be really fun!

My Bunny Cup

I figured out how to use a straw! How fun! I just suck and water comes out. Here are some pictures of me the first time I drank out of a straw (on my first St. Patricks day). I love my bunny cup that Mommy got me as an early Easter present!

Fun in the Sun..in March!

The snow is all melted now and it is so warm on our deck in the sun that Mommy dressed me in my summer clothes and hat and let me crawl around. I love being outside!

I Love Bread!

Lately, my favorite food is bread! Mommy has been trying to make me homemade whole wheat bread and it usually turns out really yummy. Except, last time she tried to make it she put the bowl on the floor in the warm sun to help it rise. What was Mommy thinking putting it on the floor? Bear and I decided it would be fun to get into it! Mommy looked over just as I was putting some raw dough in my mouth and Bear was already gobbling it up. Not good! Mommy had to give Bear hydrogen peroxide to make her throw up the dough since it could expand in her tummy. Mommy won't be leaving dough on the floor anymore. It sure was fun to play in the ooey-gooey dough though!

My Popeye Face

Lately, I have been discovering my tongue and mouth. I have been sticking my tongue out a lot and have been making this funny face a lot. Mommy calls it my popeye face!

My Heart Belongs to Daddy

My Daddy is one of my favorite people in the whole world! Saturdays are the best days of the week because Daddy is home in the morning to play with me while I am still in my jammies. Mommy notices that I smile and laugh a lot more on the weekends when he is around. I love my Daddy!

We Went Outside!

Mommy never takes me outside because she doesn't like to go on walks in the cold. Yesterday though, it was very warm here. The snow was melting and Mommy took Bear and I on a walk to the park. We even sat in the front yard for a while and Mommy made me a snowman! I didn't like the swing very much, but loved look around at everything and getting some fresh air!

I Love the Remote Control!

Mommy doesn't understand what it is, but I am in love with the remote control. I will pick this or the playstation controller over all my colorful toys. Sometimes I even turn on the TV on accident!

Clapping for Myself!

Here I am standing up and clapping for myself! And also blowing raspberries! I am so proud of all my new skills!

10 Months Old

I am 10 months old now, and Mommy cannot believe it! I have been so happy lately. Mommy and Daddy have been having more fun with me than ever! I love to clap and this past month I started waving. Now I like to wave a lot. I wave to people I see at the store, I wave to my grandma and grandpa on Skype, I wave night night to Daddy, and I even wave "bye bye" to Bear when we go out. I also like to practice waving when I am laying in bed falling asleep. I am crawling very fast all over the place and I started standing on my own a couple days before my ten month mark.
One of my favorite things to do is crawl into my room and read my books that are on the floor next to the rocking chair. I'm so independent!

Look Mama, No Hands!

Once I started to crawl, I realized that I could pull myself up, and now realized that I can let go of things and balance without holding on! I have been practicing standing all day long for the last couple of days. I even like to practice at night instead of going to bed, even though Mommy wants me to just lay down and go to sleep. I am so proud of myself and everytime I'm standing I look at Mommy and smile! Now that I can balance for longer, I can even clap for myself!

Heidi has Arrived!

Dear Heidi,

Here is the story of your birth. Since you had many visitors flying in from faraway places (California and Utah) we decided to induce labor so that you would be born in time to meet them. Your doctor picked the date, May 3, which was two days before you "due date."

We were SO excited when May 3 rolled around. It had been a long nine months, and we could not believe that it was finally the day that we would meet you. We got up really early on May 3 and drove to the hospital in the dark since our appointment was at 6:30 am. When we got to the hospital, Mommy and Daddy anxiously checked in and were led to our room. Mommy was given medicine to start her labor and so the waiting began! We waited, and waited, and waited. Grammy Sandy arrived later that morning and waited with us. And we waited some more! Finally, later in the afternoon, after walking back and forth down the halls of the hospital and bouncing on the birthing ball...Mommy started to feel some slight contractions. The nurse finally said that I was dilated to a 2.5 at 5pm. I was officially in labor. They gave me more medicine and I kept walking. Auntie Nicole and cousin Cohen and Grandma Jenn stopped by just about this time for a visit. After they left, around things got really painful! The contractions were coming about every 2 minutes and mommy's water broke all over the bed at about 7pm. That is when the action started! Things got more painful that Mommy had ever experienced, and she decided to get some pain medication and an epidural quick before things got any worse. The epidural was amazing! I could hardly feel anything after that, so I took a nap and waited for you to arrive! At 11pm, our favorite doctor, Dr. Buiceag, arrived and it was time to start pushing. After about 50 minutes of pushing, at 11:54pm, you were out...just in time to keep May 3 as your birthday! Mommy cried VERY happy tears when they put you on my chest and you grabbed my finger. You didn't start to cry though, so they took you away from me and said they were going to go "make you mad." You were blue and it was little bit scary, but after a few minutes they sucked all the mucus out of your lungs and you let out a cute little squeaky cry! We were all so relieved. When we held you, we were happier than we had ever been. You were so tiny and beautiful and we could not believe how much hair you had!

Giving birth to you is one of the most wonderful memories I have. When I have bad days, or just simply can't sleep at night, I often think back to the first moment I saw you. You are such a miracle and a true gift from God.

Mommy's Big Belly

Only 4 more weeks until I am expected to arrive! Mommy and Daddy are so excited. Here are some pictures that they took of her belly. It's really been getting big, but I have very little room left in here. I keep trying to stretch out, but can't stretch very far. I have also been getting the hiccups a lot.

Mommy saw the doctor yesterday for her 36 week visit and the doctor said that my head is down...and low, she could easily feel my head. Mommy is hoping this means I will come a little bit early, but I haven't decided yet. It sure is comfy and cozy in here...I kind of like being squished!
